Talent Development Program (TDP)

The Talent Development Program (TDP) is a program unique to the needs of students with a passion for the performing arts at the College.  All students will participate in an annual TDP Showcase evening that allows opportunity to present their performance repertoire to a live audience.

The aim of the TDP is to:

  • Further develop and extend skills, experience and confidence;
  • Provide field-trip and/or workshop experiences where appropriate;
  • Represent the College in eisteddfods, competitions, festivals and community events;
  • Develop collaborative skills devising cross-disciplinary theatre performances; and
  • Provide public performances for parents, peers, teachers and the community.

The following TDP programs are currently offered at the College:

The College offers a range of ensembles and styles for students participating in the artform of Dance including Jazz, Contemporary and JFH (Jazz, Funk and Hip-Hop). Rehearsals take place before and after school and focus on development of technique, performance skills and confidence.

In past years students have experienced a range of workshops with Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Broadway Dance Centre, NYC Vocal Studio, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institution and Disney Live Entertainment. Throughout the trip, students rehearse and perform multidisciplinary work at various locations including the USS Intrepid and Disneyland.
