Social Justice & Youth Ministry

The College provides a range of opportunities for students to engage practically with their faith through social justice initiatives. The College has supported:

  • the wider Catholic Church, through Caritas Australia, St Vincent de Paul and CatholicCare
  • Marist initiatives through immersions and fundraising.

Students are invited to participate in fortnightly Youth Ministry opportunities such as ‘Marist In Action’ meetings and ‘Faith in Action’. These gatherings are pastoral, informative, active, prayerful and inspiring.

Student also have the opportunity to be involved with Inter-School Youth Afternoons, which are held each term and hosted by schools in the local Deanery.

These afternoons are supplemented with Youth Forums on current issues facing our youth and their faith journey, run by Sydney Catholic Schools each term. Students also have opportunities to engage with fellow Marist Schools at events such as Marist Youth Ministry Connect and Super Connect, through discussion and problem-solving activities that seek to awaken in them a spirit to drive deeper Marist connections.
