Principal's Message

 

 

Welcome to the Marist Sisters College Woolwich Website.

Marist Sisters College is beautifully situated amongst leafy grounds on the banks of the Lane Cove River.  

Often referred to as “the school on the water” the students benefit from access to sailing and other water sports in which they are keen participants.

Although the College is over a century old, recent and ongoing renovations have ensured that students attending the College have facilities that are contemporary in style and in their use of technology, and encourage learning appropriate to the twenty-first century.

What is more difficult to display on a website is what really makes this College a special place for girls to learn and grow:

  • Its Catholic faith - which is at the core of College life and curriculum.
  • Its Marist spirit with a strong family atmosphere and care for the individual needs of the students,
  • Its house system and pastoral care which provide support and guidance for girls as they mature into young women and gives them a sense of belonging to something much bigger than themselves
  • And its teaching and learning that is truly contemporary and forward thinking and is true to our vision of giving the girls in our care a Marist education as a “compass for life”.

  • We believe that our students graduate as young women equipped to reflect critically on their world and to make a real difference in that world.
