Annual Reunion Day – First Sunday in May


The MSCW Ex Students’ Association has existed since the first students graduated from Woolwich in 1910.

Throughout the years, the Ex Students’ Association has donated bursaries annually to worthy students to assist their specific study needs. We also donate an end of year gift to Year 12 graduates as a post-school memento of their MSCW experience.

The College has generated remarkable loyalty among students. Students with a parent who also attended the College are not uncommon. We have present day teachers who were, themselves, students at the College. Ex Students take special pleasure in meeting at least annually to celebrate progress in their lives underpinned by the mutual experience at the College.

Our current lively and dynamic membership is keen to build on this tradition.

For over 95 years, the Ex Students’ Association have held an Ex Students’ Reunion on the first Sunday in May to:

  • keep in touch with friends
  • find long lost friends, where possible
  • meet annually to celebrate our lives, our progress, and our Marist spirit.

The MSCW Ex-Students’ Association has three core aims:

  • increase free membership in order to maintain and strengthen ties among former classmates
  • raise funds to donate towards bursaries and gifts for current MSCW Students
  • administer and strengthen the Association to continue its outreach.

The MSCW Ex Students’ Association is administered by an annually elected Committee comprising of a President, a Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretariat and approximately ten committee members (number unspecified). Office Bearers are elected at the Annual General Meeting which is conducted during the Annual Reunion in May each year.

Senior office bearers may occupy a particular role for two successive years, then must stand aside from that office for at least one year. Nominations can be posted in advance, or submitted at the AGM. The elected committee meets approximately six times per year to promote and discuss policy and funding, and to set up and organise gifts to the school and school students, and the Annual Reunion.
