Faith Life

As a Catholic school in the Marist tradition, we strive to ‘live as Mary did’. This permeates every area of the academic, physical and spiritual education of our students. In an ever changing and increasingly busy school environment, there is much that occurs to enable our community to experience and express our Catholic faith and Marist tradition on many levels:

  • Religious Education lessons
  • Praying the Angelus and the Regina Caeli at midday
  • Class and Tutor Group prayer
  • Tuesday Christian Meditation
  • Year 11 Retreat
  • Junior Reflection Days
  • College liturgies and Year Masses
  • Student forums and social justice initiatives.

Students and staff also support the Australian Catholic Bishop’s Australian Catholic Youth Festivals. The College has also sent pilgrims to World Youth Days; recently students and staff attended in Krakow in 2016. The College has begun preparation for World Youth Day 2019 in Panama.

Staff Spirituality

Staff begin each week at a Staff briefing that opens with prayer. Staff also gather for prayer in the College Chapel on Wednesday mornings and participate in a Staff Spirituality day annually.

New staff to the College are offered an induction to Marist Spirituality through the Livable Spirit program facilitated by Marist Sisters. Staff also have the opportunity to be involved in a Marist Immersion facilitated by the Marist Fathers.
